in 2008 we found out America wasn’t a conservative majority. In the 2012 primary the tea party found out they are a very vocal minority in the republican party. By 2013 we will know if America responds to lip service or results. Take it as you will.

What is the definition of success, because it’s not luck. Lottery winners are considered lucky. Is luck chance? Because If luck is chance and defined by odds of winning a lotto. Than no one truly has a chance. You are more likely to be struck by lighting and die from a snake bite the same day then win the lotto. So fuck luck, success is judged by your ability to set progressive goals and meet them through hard work and opportunity. I am done with wishing for better or hoping for more. I need to meet success because I’ve never been lucky and I’ve wasted plenty of time.

I came across a Malcolm X quote that a user posted on twitter two days ago. “If you’re not careful, the media will have you hating the people who are oppressed and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.” while reading that quote the image of Malcolm holding the newspaper reading “our freedom can’t wait!” on an old television popped in my head, and I preceded to put it on canvas 2 days later.
